Chris Marquez is 21 year veteran in the independent escrow industry.  He started his career at The Heritage Escrow Company as a sales executive with their Beverly Hills Office.  Though his determination and consistency propelled him to become top performer within the organization and quickly became recognized a top level escrow professional in the Beverly Hills and Westside Real Estate Markets.  Through this early stage in his career, Marquez developed a strong passion for independent escrow and saw an awesome opportunity for growth.  As he saw more escrow companies becoming affiliated to real estate brokerage, Marquez was determined to maintain his position as a true and unaffiliated escrow and settlement professional do deliver a service to his clients that was truly uncompromising of interest of either side in a transaction.  Marquez grew strong relationships with fellow escrow professionals and clients because of his steadfast independence and unwavering dedication to service.  He left Heritage after it’s sale to a large national title insurance company and joined a small boutique escrow company in Beverly Hills.

In 2010, Marquez reconnected with his colleagues from Heritage and was tasked with expanding a new brand in the Los Angeles Area- Granite Escrow.  Now as a partner, he recruited a team in Beverly Hills and would later expand into the Westside (Santa Monica Branch), San Fernando Valley (Sherman Oaks Branch), and San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena Branch).  Marquez attributes much of his success in his ability to spot talented escrow officers that thrive in an independent environment in addition to growing a premium brand through the real estate community.  Granite Escrow grew to eight locations across Southern California and handled over $4B in annual considerations.  Marquez and his partners sold Granite at the end of 2021 to a First American Financial, a S&P 500 company.  He left two years after the sale.

As President of Cypress Escrow, Marquez now looks to lead a new premium independent escrow brand in the Southern California Real Estate Market and has partnered with a talented group of business and escrow professionals.

Marquez resides in the Pasadena area with his wife Gina and their two kids, Ava (14) and Max (11).  In his spare time you’ll find Marquez on a golf course, in the gym, or coaching sports for his kids.
